President - John Wright

John started painting in his early 20’s and then shortly thereafter started his own painting business, which now has been in existence for 40+ years. Through the years, John has constantly kept up with the current technology and what is considered to be the best materials used in the industry. John has then, over the years, modified which materials he specs out for his projects so that he utilizes only the most current products that will have superior performance. That kind of knowledge only comes from decades of experience in the painting industry. Not only is John the President of the business, but he currently is on many of the projects doing the actual painting. His knowledge of applications and coatings is the result of 40+ years of experience.

V.P. Sales and Marketing - Kathy Wright

Kathy joined the business 19 years ago, after working many years in the corporate world. Kathy formerly sold on-site job training programs to the DuPage area businesses while employed with a local community college. Kathy has a wealth of managerial experience working in sales, customer service, human resources, and training. With 30+ years of customer-focused business experience, Kathy will be sure to take care of all your concerns and needs. Kathy holds a B.A. degree from North Central College, Naperville. Kathy and John are married and have 2 children.

Kathy received The Business Ledger’s 2010 Influential Women in Business Award in November of 2010, as 1 of 22 recipients, who were recognized as outstanding executives who have excelled in business, civic and personal arenas. The ceremony was held at Danada House in Wheaton. The program is in its 18th year and is in partnership with the National Association of Women Business Owners, Chicago Area Chapter. As quoted in the December 13th issue of the Ledger, Kathy stated: “I will cherish this award. I was just so honored and so humbled to be in the group of women that was in the award ceremony. It is just a great feeling.”

Painting Contractor - Dan Wright

Dan, who is John’s brother, has been painting for the business for 37 years. Dan trained initially under John’s expertise, and relies on his many years of experience so that he performs at the highest level of workmanship. For an exterior proposal, Dan, an experienced craftsman, will come to your home for a free assessment. Then, based on his expert judgement of the condition of your home, he will provide you with a detailed formal proposal. Only by having someone personally come to your residence and inspect the condition of your home can you ensure you will receive an honest, true assessment. Dan and his wife just celebrated their 18th year Wedding Anniversary, and reside in Oswego.

Painting Contractor - Mike Sayers

Mike is John and Kathy’s son-in-law, married to their daughter Liz. Mike is going on his 5th year with the company and  now heads up his own Exterior projects, like Dan and John. Mike has mastered the skills for painting for both Interior and Exterior painting, after being trained under John. Mike grew up in Naperville, like the rest of the Paint-Right Painting team. Mike, Liz and their family reside in Plainfield.

Future Staff

In addition to the above staff, we have plans to add additional employees within the company as we grow. We only hire employees - not sub-contractors. Kathy has a Human Resource background and screens, interviews, and checks all references on all staff to ensure that they meet our high business standards. These staff members are not just “college painters” who learn the job as they go…but they are experienced, qualified tradesmen who have a minimum of both 2 years for Apprentice grade and 10 years’ experience for Journeymen grade in the painting business. As these craftsmen join our family, they also adhere to the strict standards of business set by the President and enacted by all of the members of the family business. Plus we are awaiting the 3rd generation of Wright painters to join up as they become old enough!
